Chemical composition:

The carbon content in 65Mn steel plate is relatively high, about 0.62% -0.70%, and carbon is one of the important elements to improve the strength of steel. As the carbon content increases, the strength and hardness of the steel will improve, but the toughness may decrease.

Heat treatment process:

Quenching and tempering are important heat treatment processes for improving the strength of 65Mn steel plates. Quenching can give steel a high hardness martensitic structure, thereby improving strength. Tempering can reduce quenching stress, improve toughness, and maintain a certain strength.

Processing technology:

Cold working (such as cold rolling, cold drawing, etc.) can cause work hardening of 65Mn steel plates, thereby improving their strength. Work hardening refers to the phenomenon where the strength and hardness of a material increase during cold working due to factors such as increased dislocation density and grain refinement.

But the deformation during cold processing cannot be too large, otherwise it will cause defects such as cracks in the steel. In addition, hot processing (such as forging, hot rolling, etc.) can also affect the strength of 65Mn steel plates. Reasonable hot processing technology can improve the microstructure and properties of steel, and enhance its strength.
